Bio: Karen Hemberger serves as the Vice President of Community Impact for United Way of Madison County (UWMC). In her current role she is responsible for the development of the THRIVE Network, a partnership of organizations in the county that work together to deliver integrated or bundled services as a single entity. Prior to coming to UWMC, Karen served as the Director of Agency Relations and Community Investment for the United Way of Delaware County. She was actively involved in the By5 Early Childhood initiative, serving as the Co-Chair of the Family Engagement subcommittee and served on the Steering Committee. Prior to that, Karen served as the VP of Affiliate Programs and Services for Mental Health America of Indiana, where she oversaw the Mental Health Ombudsman program and was the Indiana Director for Campaign for America’s Mental Health. Karen holds a BA in Economics from Indiana University and MPA with a concentration in Nonprofit Management from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.
